A group of residents at Ryder House in Tunbridge Wells have created a film dealing with the subject of drug use and misuse. The film which had its premier at the Assembly Hall in Tunbridge Wells on Monday (16 June) is called The Grass isn't Greener and was written, filmed and edited by the group.

The Premier was very well attended, with many groups represented including the Borough Council, the Town Forum, and the YMCA.

Martin Morgan 19 who was involved throughout the production and features as one of the actors was full of praise for the process of creating the film, ' The whole process was great, we went up to London to edit the film which was a real highlight for me.'

The film was made with the assistance of The Complete Works, a charity which works with young people through film and other media projects.

The film which is around 15 minutes long and features a mix of drama and interviews with the public around Tunbridge Wells will be used to help young people discuss the issues around drug use and paticuarly the problems caused by peer pressure.

The film was made as part of the groups BTEC in Peer Education and was made possible by a £5000 grant from the Prince's Trust.
