Saturday (July 19th) saw Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells ring out with the cry 'God Willing!'
The reason? As part of the Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery's celebration of Archaeology Week 2008 a group of Medieval re-enctors gave visitors a glimpse into life during the Crusades.

The event was intended to give people the chance to find out about archaeology and history. There were a number of activities going on including, a trail around the park which gave visitors an insight into the history of the park.

A mini dig which gave children the chance to find buried treasures and the chance to handle real dinoaur bones.

The re-enactment was designed to give a tatse of eeryday life and included candle making, crafts and of course fighting.

Katrina Burton, Audience Development Officer for Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery said, ' This event is great, getting out into the park every year and encouraging people to find out about the history around them.'

The event which is held annually attracted a large number of visitors to the park and the many activities on offer gave everybody the chance to be involved in the day.
