It seems that even though tougher penalties have been introduced on drivers using their mobiles whilst driving, the message isn’t quite sinking in. Nearly 70 people in Kent alone have been stopped since the new enforcements were introduced one week ago on February 27th. The fines have risen to £60 and three penalty points are added to the driver’s license. People are over-optimistic about their driving ability but we seem to have learnt that drink driving is dangerous. Why aren’t we listening now?
