Vic Reeves Opens His Summer Exhibition
Kent

One of Britain's best and well known brilliant comedians, Vic Reeves, visited the Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery earlier this week, to set up his new summer exhibition...

The Natural History of Kent and Sussex – Through My Binoculars.

The inspiration of Vic's work came to fruition with Museum officials and Vic's own ideas being finally put into action with this, his brand new exhibition now on show.

Vic was there to supervise the installation of  his new project, black and white bird circles, he assisted the technicians in hanging his paintings and positioning his insect specimens onto an enormous perspex fin.

Vic, who lives in Kent, is a huge fan of Museum's and he is especially very keen on Natural History specimens, which the Museum has an excellent collection of.

As he prepared to hang his insect specimens, Vic announced that his involvement with the Museum and the Art Gallery in Tunbridge Wells was exciting for him, expressed in his own words he said “Museums are cool, especially Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery. I am really excited about curating this exhibition which is a first for me. You must come and see it, you will be astonished”

Later in the week,  Friday 3rd July, Vic was there to unveil his brand new and spectacular exhibition, in an exclusive VIP preview and interview with invited and honoured guests.

He toured the exhibition with his guests pointing out the works of art that he had designed, and spoke freely about the inspiration that gave him the ideas to put this wonderful display on for the public.

Vic accepted the role as the new curator of the exhibition, it will feature not only his own works, but previously unseen items from the Museum collections.

The exhibition is now open to the public and continues until the end of August.

This is a must for art lovers and natural history enthusiasts across the region to come and visit, and see for themselves the spectacular work of the comedian who is now the curator of this, his very own works, on display.

So - Don't Miss - this incredible exhibition. Listen to what Vic himself said...”You Must Come and See It, You Will be Astonished”
