Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has a number of summer activities taking place over the whole borough this summer including the popular multi-sports and arts sessions, mobile skate park sessions and a mobile climbing wall. There will also be a special event in Sandhurst to celebrate ‘National Play Day’ on Wednesday 5 August.

The free summer Multi-sports and arts sessions are taking place at a variety of recreation grounds for 6-11 year olds. The sessions include parachute games, tag rugby, football and many more fun games. There will also be art activities provided at all venues.

A grant from the Big Lottery Fund is providing ‘Fun in the Sun’ play days to three rural areas in the borough in August. These events are free to attend, and are open to children and young people aged 17 and under. They will be able to try out new and exciting activities such as skateboarding, climbing, various sports, art, dance and drama. Young children must be supervised at all times and bring their own drinks and suntan lotion.

 

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is celebrating National Play Day on Wednesday 5 August at Sandhurst Recreation Ground, with a range of activities promoting the national campaign message of ’Make Time!’ The day aims to encourage everyone to make time for play.  A mobile climbing wall and skate park will be there along with other sport, dance and arts activities.
