Benefit Show for Trinity Theatre - Love Letters

Colin Baker and Louise Jameson have very generously donated their time to stage this benefit show for Trinity in the wake of huge funding cuts earlier this year.

Love Letters chronicles the lives, loves, triumphs and tragedies of Andrew Makepeace Ladd the 3rd and Melissa Gardner through their correspondence spanning more than a generation.

Green Room Music: The Gould Piano Trio

Between 2 & 2.30 pm pre-concert talk by Dr Malcolm Lipkin, with musical illustrations by this afternoon's artists, about Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, written and first performed in 1941 when Messiaen was a prisoner-of-war in Germany.

Shortlisted by the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2006 as one of the three most outstanding UK chamber groups, the Gould Piano Trio have established a reputation as one of the most exciting ensembles to emerge in recent years, enjoying a career that has taken them to major venues both in the UK and overseas. Frequent broadcasts from these venues have made the Goulds a familiar ensemble to listeners of BBC Radio 3.
