Your Air Ambulance needs you!!!

Kent Air Ambulance is looking for temporary volunteers to help during Air Ambulance Week.

The week, which starts on September 22nd is to raise awareness of the vital work of the charity and raise money through store collections. It costs £1.5 million a year to provide a life saving Air Ambulance Service to people living, working and traveling through Kent each and every day of the year.

Lynn Hyder County Fundraiser for the Kent Air Ambulance says “If anyone can spare some time over the weekend of the 25th, 26th 27th September to help with our collections I would be very happy to hear from them. Anyone who is interested can contact me on 07884 338317. There are various venues and times throughout the County and hopefully we will have a ‘slot’ to suit everyone. Air Ambulance week is an ideal opportunity to show support for the charity and people may find that they want to become involved with the charity on a more permanent basis”

Air Ambulance Week 2008 starts on the 22nd of September

So far this year Kent Air Ambulance has flown over 500 missions receiving no funding from the government this they can only do because of the support they receive from the people of Kent.
