The award-winning team from Oxted's Gurkha Kitchen is delighted to announce the opening of Mooli - its Kent flagship restaurant.
We warmly invite you to enjoy this unique and delicately spiced cuisine which draws on traditions from Nepal and Tibet.
We opened our first restaurant in Surrey a few years ago and have since won twice the coveted Cobra Good Curry Award for the Best Nepalese restaurant in the country. We are known for creating aromatic but light, fresh and wholesome Nepalese food, using top quality and carefully sourced natural ingredients.
"... they make some of the best Nepalese food I have ever eaten - it's even better than in Nepal ..." (Michelin-starred Indian chef Atul Kochhar, Observer, July 2006).
Enjoy this gastronomic experience prepared with infinite care and attention from Mooli.
Mooli has been nominated for the..."Best International Restaurant in Kent"

We have had some great reviews and articles in the national press about our sister restaurant Gurkha Kitchen. As Mooli has only been open a short time, we haven't had the chance to get reviewed yet. Please be assured though that Mooli is run by the same team and serves the same menu to the same high standards as Gurkha Kitchen.
"Even better than in Nepal"
"Gurkha Kitchen is named after the famously brave soldiers from the Himalayas and is my favourite for Nepalese food. The restaurant is small and colourful with lots of handspun textiles, and very friendly. They make some of the best non-vegetarian Nepalese food I have ever eaten - it's even better that in Nepal.
Service is very good. Their Nepalese/Indian dim sums - called 'momos' - are worth making a detour for." Observer Food Monthly
"Already planning our return"
"Offering dishes favoured by the amorous Nepalese princes, Gurkha Kitchen sets the scene for a dining adventure. Never having tried Nepalese fare before, my friend Layla and I were instantly swept up in the romance of it all.
The prawn asworya is a favourite with courting princes ... and it was delicious, packed with garlic and coriander. We contentedly sipped wine from goldfish-bowl-sized glasses and munched on Nepali bread, while already planning our return, to experience the Sunday buffet."Waitrose FOOD Illustrated
