This
loving project to preserve the Tunbridge Wells West line
to Eridge was enabled after many years of time and hard
work. In March 1996 a break through occured when the line
was aquired, and within 9 months it was open to the public.
A great acheivement. The Trains initially ran for half a
mile, but again due to dedication, within 6 months that
was extended to Groombridge where you can can have a great
visit to Groombridge Place & Gardens and the Enchanted Forest. Constantly thinking
forward 1998 proved also to be a plus for the project with
the opening of a Station at High Rocks. |
