Sit in a fabulous oak beamed dining room and watch a joint of beef, pork, ham or venison cook on one of the few remaining Inglenook Spitroasts in the country, where the apple logs smoke and produce fantastically flavoured and finished roasts or in the summer sit in the fragrant patio rose garden and watch the children in the fun play area whilst you sip your beer or Pimms.

There is also a range of  freshly prepared, locally sourced food available, suitable for all the family. The pub has a well deserved reputation for serving hearty meals from its varied all day menu and lighter bites from it's keenly priced lunchtime menu, all accompanied by a wide range of often locally brewed beers.

The Owners Kay & Jeremy Springett say “Family friendly, old English charm, roaring log fires, healthy English style meals,real ales & fine wines is what we offer. “Our chefs use local ingredients and are always looking for original English Meals such as Lovage & Ham soup followed by Wild Boar Steak with an Apple & Cider sauce and a simple Treacle Sponge.”

The pub is open from 11.30am to 2.30pm & 4.30 - 11.30 Monday to Friday, all day Saturday from 11.30am and on Sunday from 12noon to 10.30pm.
