The event organisers are hoping that well over 50 people will support the walk, and the final figure taking part will be nearer 100, which would be a fantastic demonstration of their appreciation for this admirable and well loved charity and the dogs themselves.Those wishing to take part don't have to own a dog, if they have a friend's dog that need's a good walk then this event will certainly benefit them both. Even if you don't have a dog, then those who wish to, can dress up like one and join the crowd in a fun walk that this event will be, you will also help by taking part in raising money for this worthwhile charity!
This event also marks the 80th anniversary of guide dogs for the blind, in fact the charity itself have raised many hundreds of thousands of pounds for the blind since it's founding those many years ago. For the energetic dogs that take part, there will be a three - mile walk, for the younger dogs such as puppies as well as older dogs a one - mile walk. Everyone is welcome to come along from all the towns, villages and surrounding areas and enjoy this fantastic event.

Every dog taking part and completes the walk will receive a special "Thankyou" by being given a "Go Walkies" dog tag that is attached to their collar.
