Kent Crimestoppers has received a financial boost from Kent Police Authority of £11,280 to help with crime fighting projects around the county. The charity set up in 1988 helps identify, prevent, solve and reduce crime.
With the M20 motorway in Kent having over 200, 000 vehicles a day flowing along it, Kent Police are now determined to crack down on those who continue to flout the law, with a list of reckless driver-actions by those who use it.
1. Before opening the door check who's calling....... Use a spy hole or door chain 2. Check the callers appearance...... Check their vehicles for signage and if they are wearing a uniform 3. Ask for identification...... Check their identity cards....and the photograph
matches the card 4. If you are not sure who they are..... Call there office, if they are ligitimate..they will not mind 5. If you are worried or frightened...... Just say NO and if you think they are bogus call the Police
