There is now a new faster, more efficient, and environmentally friendly way for residents of the District to check their Council Tax bills.

Sevenoaks District Council has recently introduced e-billing, so instead of getting a traditional paper bill through the post, residents can now register to receive an e-mail with a link which will enable them to view their bill and charges leaflets through the Councils website, www.sevenoaks.gov.uk

E-billing has many advantages:

You can view a bill as soon as it is available and if you wish keep a copy on file.

You can redistribute copies of bills quickly and electronically.

Bills are issued direct to the intended recipient and are not delayed in the post.

You help to save paper by viewing your bill and the associated charges leaflets on-line.

Anyone can register for e-billing by e-mailing revenues.selfservice@sevenoaks.gov.uk, or by calling the Local Tax section on 01732 227000 and requesting their on-line access login details.

These details will be sent in the post, making it then possible to browse information relating to an account, including e-bills and charges leaflets.

Online access also allows the user to browse other information, such as how your council tax has been calculated, any payments made, any balances outstanding and current instalments due.

E-billing can be set up for each person in a dwelling who has to pay the bill.

Cllr Brian Ramsay, Sevenoaks District Council Cabinet member with responsibility for finance, said, 'E-billing is a quicker and more convenient way to check your Council Tax bills, it also saves paper, and allows you to view a range of other information. I'd urge anyone who is interested to get in touch with us so we can send you your login details'.
