Although not recommended for first time divers, the Maidstone Sub-Aqua Club is a great place to hone your skills. The club runs and organises many dives within the area, as well as overseas, all of which it’s members are encouraged to participate in. The Maidstone area has many fine golf courses, Bearsted golf club is set in beautiful countryside. Cobtree manor is a public pay & play course owned by Maidstone Borough Council.

Nestled against a traditional Kentish backdrop of hop gardens and oast houses, the Organic Garden is a must see for and green fingered visitors. The 14 individual gardens have all been lovingly cultivated, taking the visitor on a trip through time, from the Tudor and Medieval gardens, right up to the modern low water garden, perfect for the lazier gardener! With the seasons controlling the looks and smells of each garden, you can guarantee that whenever you visit, there will always be something different ready to catch you eye. The gardens are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. |

With over 100 members, aged from 18 upwards, the Maidstone Harriers is primarily a road racing and cross country club. The club caters for all standards of runners, from the serious to those who are just looking to get fit. The group meets every Wednesday at the Maidstone Hockey Pavillion. |

Maidstone Leisure Centre has one of the best pool complexes in Kent. With a leisure pool, flumes, a diving pit, a traditional fitness pool and two teaching pools. There really is something for everyone at Maidstone Leisure Centre including swimming sessions, a fitness studio, a workout studio, health suite (with a sauna and spa), children’s activities, a large soft play area, a crèche, live entertainment, a café, a sports injury clinic and much, much more.
